Bruce Miller's group caught these perch in the last week of August. Perch get to be about thirteen inches long here with many in the ten to twelve inch range.

Night crawlers (dew worms) work best. You should use a small hook and a bobber in three to four feet of water. It is best to anchor close up to some lily pads or rushes. You don't have to go far. Right close to our cabins is as good as anywhere along the chain of lakes.

Sometimes perch will hit a walleye rig or even a minnow. If you catch pike, move on. The perch won't associate with a pike.
